GIMP is a photo editing program! It is absolutely free, legal and does not have any viruses! :) I use it instead of using photoshop because I didn’t want to spend money on a program!

on the Click the Picture to Reblog tutorial I followed all the directions and it didn't work but then I figured out whats wrong. you have to retype the quotation marks in :)

Unfortunately, Lina doesn’t have her music player up anymore so I can’t see what you’re talking about. If you mean like the one on my personal blog, though, there should be a place to fill in the colors you want on the music player generator website I posted here awhile back ;)

You should be able to just upload it under “Appearance” on your customize page, but if there’s no option for that, upload the graphic to a site like tinypic, copy the direct link, & add this under body{ to your theme’s HTML:

background-image:url(URL HERE!);

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to adjust your theme so that people can simply click on one of your pictures to reblog it.

1. Click your blog’s title on the upper right hand corner of your dash and go to “Customize Appearance,” then “Edit HTML.”

2. Find the part of your theme that says {block:Photo}. It should look something like this, although slightly different depending on your specific theme:

4. Add it right BEFORE the part in your theme that says <img src=”{PhotoURL-500}” alt=”{PhotoAlt}”/> and then add a </a> right AFTER this same piece of code. It should now look something like this (the highlighted part):

I apologize for any confusion—re-reading it, it was a bit hard to follow! It’s truly very simple, and basically what it requires is replacing any existent link with the code I provided in the tutorial, edited to your liking. If you still are having trouble, let me know!

Hey! So, I was checking out the GIMP tutorials on the "Banner" and "Stroke Effect". I followed every step and it didn't really work. Like the color and stuff. Do you have any advice? i got lost during the fill part =P Thanks :)

Make sure you have the right layer active. Check the bar on the right hand side and there you will be able to see which layer is active. The one that should be active is the one you want to colour in! :)

your 3rd column tutorial doesn't work on your garden grove theme :(

It’s tough to add a 3rd column to that theme because it’s meant to be 2 columned and has a lot of graphics in it that can’t be changed if you added a column. Sorry about that!

Pop-up Box (for an FAQ, etc.) - UPDATED

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to get a pop-up box using a little bit of HTML. You can use this for an FAQ, ‘about me’, or anything else you’d like.

Example: (for a live example, go to our blog and click “example of a pop-up box”).

1. Open up your theme’s HTML, or the info section of your theme under “Customize”. Essentially what you’ll be doing in this tutorial is replacing a link that already exists or making a new link. For example, if you want to replace the FAQ link on your blog that leads to your FAQ page with a pop-up box for your FAQ, find wherever in your theme that link exists. If the link doesn’t exist, figure out where you want it to appear.

2. Once you’ve chosen the link you’re going to use, erase it and paste this code instead (or if it doesn’t already exist, just paste this code):

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to change the highlight color on your blog, like so:

1. Click your blog title on your dash and then go to “Customize Appearance.” Click “Edit HTML.”

2. Under the section of your code that says body{ , paste this bit of code:
